Semax 10 mg — Lyophilized Vial 10 mg · 1 vial
For laboratory research only. Not for human or veterinary use.
What is Semax?
Semax is a synthetic peptide based on an ACTH-derived sequence with an added Pro-Gly-Pro segment. Its research focus is neurotrophic signaling rather than replacement of the full ACTH hormone.
Biological activity
Rat studies have examined effects on brain-derived neurotrophic factor, or BDNF, and its receptor TrkB. These proteins are involved in neuronal maintenance and plasticity, the processes through which neural connections adapt.
Purpose and areas of study
Researchers use Semax to study neurotrophic responses and experimental models of brain function. The biological question is how exposure changes signals associated with neuronal support and adaptation.
Evidence context
The cited rat-brain findings do not establish improved memory, attention or neurological recovery in people.
Product presentation
One lyophilized vial. Labeled content: 10 mg.
