Kisspeptin 10 mg — Lyophilized Vial 10 mg · 1 vial
For laboratory research only. Not for human or veterinary use.
What is Kisspeptin?
Kisspeptins are peptides involved in reproductive-hormone signaling. Kisspeptin-10, the form used in the cited research, is a short fragment that activates the KISS1 receptor, also called GPR54.
Biological activity
KISS1-receptor signaling can stimulate the hypothalamic GnRH pathway, which in turn influences pituitary gonadotropins such as luteinizing hormone, or LH. This places kisspeptin upstream in the reproductive endocrine axis.
Purpose and areas of study
Human experiments have measured LH secretion and pulse patterns after kisspeptin-10 exposure. Researchers use it to examine how the reproductive hormone axis is activated and regulated.
Evidence context
The cited human work used kisspeptin-10. Confirm the supplied fragment before applying those findings; hormone changes alone do not demonstrate improved fertility.
